International Emergency-2013 exercises start in Kyrgyzstan

International Emergency-2013 exercises with participation of the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization started in Kyrgyzstan, press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, representatives of the emergency rescue departments from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and our republic take part in the exercises. Representatives of Mongolia, Afghanistan, the International Civil Defence Organization, the UN Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, the delegations from China and Uzbekistan will monitor the event as observers.

As it was noted, the purpose of the exercises is improvement of practical skills of the authorized agencies in the field of population and territory protection, emergency situations management, the practical testing of the documents “Agreements between the governments of the SCO member states on cooperation in providing assistance in emergency situations” dated October 26, 2005 and others.

As it was noted, the Emergency Ministry of Kyrgyzstan is completely ready for international exercises. A tent camp has been organized in Tamchy village for the reception and temporary accommodation of “the victims”, first aid rendering, and works of foreign participants.
